Our instructors all have diverse training, experiences, and professional backgrounds from which they draw inspiration for their classes. Each one is infused with their own sequencing, mood, and tone depending upon the teacher and is a unique expression of yoga.
Try them all for a well-balanced practice!
Vinyasa Flow (Monday 8:45am) - We have suspended this class for the summer months.
Level 1: Vinyasa Flow is characterized by the practice of linking or “flowing” into yoga postures (or asanas) while utilizing the breath and accompanying transitional movements. This class will help to develop a more balanced body by emphasizing proper body positioning and alignment, creating core strength and stability, and improving muscle tone and flexibility. The use and control of prana (yogic breathing) is taught and encouraged throughout all segments of the class. Through consistent presentation and instruction of modifications and progressions this class will appeal to any fitness level. And as with most yoga instruction affirming relaxation techniques and meditative components are also incorporated.
Blissful Blend (Monday 10:30am)
Gentle and Level 1: A blissful blend of yoga that will leave you feeling physically and mentally refreshed. Relax, renew and release stress in this gentle yoga class which blends Restorative Yoga (relaxation), Yin Yoga (deep stretch focused on connective tissue) and guided relaxation. There's no better way to start the week!
Chair (Monday, Wednesday & Friday 10:30am) - We have suspended this class for the summer months.
Gentle Level: Chair yoga is perfect for students with physical challenges who find it difficult to get on and off the floor as required for a traditional yoga class. Exercises explore and enhance a greater range of movement while protecting the lower back and joints by easing carefully into yoga postures with chair support. Breath work and meditation is visited as well. This is a wonderful class for increasing circulation, movement capability, and energy enhancement.
Chair Yoga is one of the gentlest forms of yoga available. Complicated maneuvers and complex movements are NOT present in a chair yoga class. Within this type of yoga class, you can cover standing, seated, and prone postures. Most of these classes use the chair only, due to the difficulty of getting down or up off the floor. The patience and commitment of the teacher makes this a wonderful class for new yoga students or for those who find a traditional mat class is difficult due to physical challenges.
Yin and Meditation: (Monday 4pm)
All Levels: Yin Yoga is designed to target the deeper connective tissues of the body through passively holding postures a little longer. Being in the posture for a longer period of time allows the ligaments, bones, and joints to enhance flexibility, range of motion, and also stimulates the energy flow (prana/chi) throughout the body. Focus is more on the fascia / connective tissues of the body rather than on the muscles.
We combine Yin Yoga postures with positive affirmations to ease mind chatter and allow for Stillness. Incorporating after Savasana a 5-minute Silent Meditation to further encourage a deeper stillness or universal connection.
Hatha I (Tuesday 6pm, Wed & Friday 10:30am)
Level I: Designed with the beginner yogi in mind, whether you're just stepping onto your mat for the first time or simply craving a step-by-step review of the basics. The intention of this all-levels Hatha class is to make the practice accessible to everyone while building a strong foundation in the fundamentals of postures, breathing and alignment.
Candle Light Flow (Wed 6pm)
All Levels: In this evening class we will explore simple and delicious poses through a soft flow of stretches and poses. Accompanied by soothing music, aromatherapy, and the mesmerizing charm of candlelight, you are guaranteed to leave this class happier and relaxed.
Hatha Flow (Tuesday & Thursday 8:45am)
Level I with some Level II: This class incorporates some Vinyasa-style, fluid movements and balances them out with alignment-based, dynamic standing sequences. Half Series Salutations are introduced in this class with focus on breath and core strength.
Discover meditation in motion as you challenge your strength, stamina, and balance. For new yogis, this is a wonderful class to begin deepening your practice and introducing new challenges. While available to all levels, some yoga experience is beneficial.
Gentle (Thursday 10:30am)
Gentle Level: A therapeutic blend of gentle stretches combined with restorative postures. This class is designed to facilitate strong bones, healthy joints, improved balance and a calmer mind. Great for beginners and students who have special needs or limitations, as well as those simply wanting to take it slow.
Yin Yoga (Saturday 9am)
All Levels: A slow, deep practice that targets the hips and spine and helps to release and lengthen the body's deep connective tissues. Combining longer held Yin postures with yogic breathing helps to stimulate the meridian system, releasing energy blockages in the physical and emotional bodies. Yin yoga is a deeply meditative yet revitalizing practice, and is an excellent complement to other styles of yoga. Beginners always welcome.
Yoga Nidra & Restorative (1st Sunday of Month 1pm)
All Levels: Step away from your daily stresses, and soothe your body and mind with this relaxing yoga class. Class will consist of 45 min. of restorative yoga & yin poses (deep stretch) and 30 min. of Yoga Nidra, a guided relaxation practice.
In restorative and yin yoga, we open the body through passive stretching, supported by props. Yoga Nidra requires nothing of you but to lie down and listen. Be supported, held, and nourished as you discover profound peace while tapping into new sources of energy. Through the use of breath awareness, body scanning, and guided imagery, we activate the ‘relaxation response’, the body’s natural healing state.

A Note About Class Registration...
We highly recommend signing in for classes ahead of time. (Due to Covid19 and CDC guidelines, class size has been lowered to allow for safe social distancing. Pre-registering is more important now more than ever.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.)
The normal capacity of our space is approximately 18 people. In the event a class reaches capacity, unregistered students will be required to wait on standby until all registered students have arrived. Priority is given to pre-registered students, wait list students, and then walk-ins. You can pre-register by using the scheduling widget above, or by downloading the MindBody Connect app to your smartphone.
IF YOU ARE PRE-REGISTERED... please leave shoes outside before entering the studio. Feel free to use our hand sanitizer. Wipes and/ or disinfecting spray are available to wipe your mat as you set up in a designated space. And relax until class starts.
IF YOU ARE NOT PRE-REGISTERED... please check on available space by talking to the instructor then wait outside.
We are always monitoring class attendance, evaluating our schedule, and doing our best to meet the needs of our students in a way that is consistent with our values and our vision.
If any class consistently acquires a waiting list (especially during this time of having to keep each class's attendance low) we will certainly look at expanding our current offerings.
