Feature Classes & Series

Feature Classes

Feature Classes are taught by instructors who have pursued advanced training in specialized subjects.  They are offered periodically depending on the class (some monthly, some quarterly, etc.).  Please visit the Live Schedule to see current offerings, or contact us to inquire about the next scheduled class.  Shore Bliss Members (folks on autopay) always receive a $5 discount on Feature Classes.

 

Introduction to Meditation

Curious about meditation?  This is the perfect class to begin!  Join us for an overview of meditation including techniques and types of practice, health benefits, and tips for starting your own meditation practice. Class will include mild stretching to support the body in releasing stress, and segments of seated meditation. This class is appropriate for beginners seeking the deeper focus, stillness and peace that meditation can offer. No experience necessary.  Wear comfortable clothes.  Advance registration required, offered quarterly.  $15

 

Restorative Yoga

In the yoga of ‘being’ rather than ‘doing’, props and bolsters support the body in postures that promote deep relaxation and awareness. The postures of restorative yoga are designed to release deeply held tensions, soothe the nervous system, and strengthen the immune system -- allowing the body to heal, restore, and renew. The class will end with a long guided meditation while lying down, leaving your body and mind relaxed and recharged. Appropriate for all levels. This Feature Class is currently held on the third Sunday of every month.  It is limited to 12 students and tends to sell out, reserve your space today! $20

 

 

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra, known as 'Yogic sleep', forms a complete experience of deep relaxation, self-healing and integration. It involves systematically relaxing the body, breath and mind as your attention is gently guided into a deep relaxed state of awareness. Yoga Nidra is the deepest and most powerful of all meditations and it provides the tools you need to become more grounded, focused and at peace. Wear comfortable clothes and bring your yoga mat.  This practice is suitable for ALL levels of practitioners as guided meditation. No experience necessary.  $20
